A Message of Remembrance and Resurrection
With reverence and love, we mourn the passing of Pope Francis, a shepherd whose life was marked by humility, mercy, and a deep devotion to the Gospel. He reminded the world that the Church must be a field hospital tending to wounds, welcoming the forgotten, and standing with the poor. His legacy of compassion and bold truth-telling will echo through generations.
As we grieve, we do so in the light of the Resurrection. This Easter season calls us to remember that death does not have the final word. Christ is risen and because He lives, so does our hope. The stone is rolled away not only from the tomb, but from the burdens we carry, the fears we hold, and the doubts we hide.
In the spirit of Pope Francis, let us continue building a Church of encounter and belonging, where every person knows they are seen, loved, and called by name. May the joy of Easter fill our hearts with courage to walk forward together, as one body in Christ.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
St. Josephine Bakhita, you are with us.
Amen.
